The Giant Og

The Hebrew and Arabic chronicles told many tales of giants - descendants not of gods but of fallen angels who had taken mortal women for their wives. These giants were very vicious and devourers of men. Og was the only one from this race to survive the flood that covered the earth in the dim beginnings of history.

Og escaped because he believed in the prophecies of Noah about the Deluge and bound himself to serve Noah and Noah's descendants all his life. Noah gave his permission to Og to rest beside the ark when the water boiled up from the earth and poured from the heavens.

The water rose and covered all of the land and the ark floated free. Outside
in the cold and wind, Og waded. He was to large to fit into the ark but Noah
watched over him and gave him food to eat.

When at last the waters fell and the ark came to rest, all the animals was set free, for the world was empty of life, so was Og set free. Og lived for 500+ years and became the King of Bashan. In his pride he ventured into Israelite territory and died by Moses's mortal hands.
